This parts kit is for the IBM/PC compatible Xi8088 main board, by (Sergey Kiselev) check out his project at the URL below. This processor board along with the ISA-Backplane kit which I sell separately is used to build a fully functioning IBM pc clone. Parts are known to work together in a fully assembled board. I also sell individual chips as well see my other listings. This is an Xi 8088 which is an IBM PC/XT compatible processor board in ISA board form factor. It offers several enhancements over the standard IBM PC/XT, such as support of PS/2 keyboard and mouse and built-in real time clock with NVRAM (also known as CMOS setup memory). This is a hobby grade computer the BIOS is under active development and depending on your skills and parts selection the performance and stability of the board may vary. I have tested this computer kit with the XT-IDE and floppy controller. It installs and boots MS-DOS 6.22 and tested it with CheckIt software (see screenshots). As time goes on I will perform further testing with additional applications and update the list on my wiki site. Please check back often. If things don’t go according to plan you have options! Bad solder job or bad damaged chips? 20% discount on the board completion and repair service for complete kit or Integrated circuit sales. Please see my other listing. Processor: Intel 8088 or compatible, or NEC V20. Supports both standard 4.77MHz CPU clock and turbo, up to 13.33MHz CPU clock operation. RAM: Up to 832 KiB of usable system memory (640 KiB base memory, and up to 192 KiB UMB); Implemented using SRAM. ROM: 128 KiB flash ROM. Configurable to either 64 KiB or 128 KiB. 8-bit ISA interface with several ISA/AT signals. PS/2 compatible keyboard and mouse controller. One 8237 direct memory access controller (DMAC). Two 8259 programmable interrupt controllers (PICs), supporting the total of 15 interrupts; 10 interrupts available for extension cards. One 8254 programmable interval timer (PIT). One DS12885 real time clock and non-volatile RAM (RTC/NVRAM). Please note: If you are purchasing only the. Bare PCB, additional components will be required to finish the product. The full parts list is available from the designer’s website below and this board has plenty of coverage on YouTube showing step by step assembly instructions. Additional support also available on my wiki site wiki. Not really required as all the component placement is printed right on the PCB. Its as simple as placing the components on the board and soldering them. All the IC chips are in sockets so no worries about making mistakes. Guide for DIP switches are available at the original designers site also on my wiki. This listing is for the following parts. Complete Kit & Integrated Circuit. 1 Includes all parts seen below. High Speed (AHCT, ALS series) chips are used wherever possible allowing for faster clock speeds. These parts have been tested and known to work together. They also have been benchmarked. See test result images. If you don’t have a EEPROM writer, no worries the kit comes with the BIOS already written to the EEPROM chip. 1 PCB Processor main board that fits a ISA 16 bit backplane. 0.1 uF ceramic, 5.08 mm lead spacing. 10 uF ceramic, 5.08 mm lead spacing. 33 pF ceramic, 5.08 mm lead spacing (not needed in this design use 510 R resistors in the crystal circuit). 5-30 pF trimmer capacitor. 47 pF ceramic, 5.08 mm lead spacing. 0.01 uF ceramic, 5.08 mm lead spacing. 100 kOhm, 1/4 W. 470 Ohm, 1/4 W. 10 kOhm, 1/4 W. 1 kOhm, 1/4 W. 33 Ohm, 1/4 W. 510 Ohm, 1/4 W (for crystal circuit). 10 kOhm, 10 pin, bussed resistor array. 10 kOhm, 6 pin, bussed resistor array. 470 Ohm, 6 pin, bussed resistor array.
