Short Summary: This is an IBM PC Compatible. (1980’s early 90’s). Computer you can build yourself using this kit. It plugs into a backplane which I also sell as a kit. Build Time: 5-8 hours. Skills: Basic soldering skills (Fully Assembled option also available). Specs: Intel 8088 or compatible processor. Operating System: DOS 6.22 or earlier. Maximum disk size / partition in DOS 6.22. I also sell individual chips as well see my other listings. This is an Xi 8088 which is an IBM PC/XT compatible processor board in ISA board form factor. It offers several enhancements over the standard IBM PC/XT, such as support of PS/2 keyboard and mouse and built-in real time clock with NVRAM (also known as CMOS setup memory). This is a hobby grade computer the BIOS is under active development the performance and stability of this system may vary. I have tested this computer kit with the XT-IDE and floppy controller. It installs and boots MS-DOS 6.22 and tested it with CheckIt software (see screenshots).
